Just a little reminder that December is upon us as is our little effort to "get your culture on".
So this Tuesday, prepare for an assult on your perverbial senses as we bring you:
7pm: Dark Habits -- Almodovar has some issues with the Catholic Church. As every good Catholic should. This wacky/racy comedy set in a convent/brothel deals with some of them.
9pm: All About My Mother -- Yeah, I know he won the Oscar for it, but neither of us has seen it yet. Maybe one of you can explain the appeal of Penelope Cruz to me while we watch, 'cause I just don't get it.
Also, because it is that time of year we forgot we had a prior engagement for the 23. So, movie night is going to be moved to the 22 (Monday), same time, same schedule (unless there's someone else out there who'd like to watch White Christmas and The Bishop's Wife instead, let me know). And, since it is that festive, denominationally neutral, gift-giving season we figured we'd try to start a little Xmas tradition of our own. So, if you know you are coming on the 22, please bring with you a small, inexpensive, wrapped (important!!) gift. Do not spend any more than $5. Recycle something you got last year, make something, or bring something you found on the way here. Just make sure you wrap it so no one knows what it is. Humour value also important as no one knows what they're getting/giving.
