anything happening?

we're planning a trip north in the next few weeks... I thought we had plans for drinko de mayo, but it turns out we probably don't. so which of the next three weekends would be best to head north? what's the most exciting thing happening?

I think we're just waiting for you to decide when and plan around that. This Friday is EFS, Saturday might be something for Doug's B-day. I can't think of anything planned for the following weekend, but the Friday might be my friend Jon's B-day.

May I suggest a road trip south? As in to Thailand?

pretty sure thailand is about eighty times more west than south.

friday nights are bad for us, since we don't get off work until 5pm.

I know neither doug nor jon.

I realise you guys don't have mexicans in canada (why cross TWO borders illegally?), but does anyone do anything for cinco de mayo?

I haven't heard anything. I'm doing a flashmob thing at Metrotown, probably, 2pm Saturday. (It's laughing for ten minutes than moving on).

There isn't really a party house like there used to be.

it's confirmed that we're heading up the weekend of the 5th... if nothing else, would like to do the 'foo on the 6th.

We could always go for dinner and hit the cambie if you like...I am surprised that there haven't been any house parties announced...

according to the calendar, decemberists are playing a show in bellingham that night. I imagine that knocks out a fair number of the more active clubhousers right there...

we're catching their show in seattle friday, because we're better. and prettier.

was ist 'the cambie'? and why should we hit it? was it bad?

For months I just assumed that I would go see the Decemberists in Bellingham, but now I think none of us will go, for various reasons. A shame, since their setlists look pretty good and diverse these days.

I hope it's better than the last time they played seattle. all we got was the crane wife and a few picaresque songs. we may have had two or three songs from any of the earlier albums.

shins put on a way more diverse set...

You heard it here first: I'm having people over on the 5th. Come one, come all.

Bring your own booze.

That is all.

actually, I heard it on your post about it first.

I heard it here second.
