the token 'merkins are making a trip up north to kick paul's ass for leaving again so soon, and to partake in whatever festivities may be occuring.
mark your calendars for the foo, however. and given the recent turnouts, it seems prudent to say the "kids table" rule will be in effect again for anyone showing up late.
I'm gonna eat me a metric ton of pork fried rice.

12 noon is less feasible for me as that is when my shift starts. Anyone want to meet a bit earlier?
If not, Xian, would you be willing to drop by the pool to drop off my watch and hard drive? It is only down the block.
if need be, we can drop your stuff off sunday afternoon. we could also meet up sometime saturday if that's easier.
I may have to catch a plane at some point on sunday - not sure. I'll let you know when I know.

the whole reason we're heading up THAT weekend is you said you'd be around. you know, since you're too GOOD to come to the states to visit us, and you're heading off to some dank asian prison in a few more weeks.
Was thinking of doing a party that friday, actually. But it's still tentative. I'll post when I know more.
you are, of course, aware that the token 'merkins have these things called JOBS that require us to be awake very early on Fridays, correct? and that there is this other thing, called the BORDER, that is a huge pain in the ass to get across on friday evenings?
I'm disappointed in you, paul. it's almost as if you don't WANT miyuki and I to kick your ass so hard you could wear it as a hat.
so since paul is a gigantic ass, is there something going on saturday night that we could actually, y'know, attend? kinda pointless to have chineefoo sunday if it's not to aid in the recovery of something the night before.
Saturday is quite happening. There is a Red Bull sponsored flight machine competition, I think at Science World. I think wuite a few things are happening on the 19th; be darned if I can recollect any of them.
And I'm sure there is a collective of people that will make their way to Satuday karaoke at the Vet's Hall, if you're up for that.
Also: Snakes on a Plane is released that weekend.
I'd suggest either leading the zombie troupe into science world for some red bull or intercepting them with your own group of the alternative undead (vampires, mummies, etc).
You know I'll be there for foo and shopping for gummy snakes...might not rent "snakes on a train" or "riding in cars with snakes" as planned, however.
Also, Xian, if any activities in Corinne's recent post sound good, we can set that up on the Saturday...
I'm not really up for karaoke, mostly 'cos miyuki won't go anyway. was thinking it would be nice to, y'know, visit with people... if paul is lame and doesn't do a houseparty, night market might be fun. I know miyuki is fiending for another vietnamese sammich...

If I could conceivably do a party Saturday night, I would. Since I can't, I won't. I only have the house for that Friday. Do as you will with that information.
