Sorry for the late notice.

Tuesday June 7 (because we're going to see Layer Cake on Monday) -- Toho Madness

7pm: Matango: Attack of the Mushroom People [1963] -- From the same director and studio as "Godzilla", this surprisingly atmospheric movie deals with a shipwreck on a mysterious island where the only thing to eat is slowly eating them...

9pm: The Mysterians [1957] -- Same director as Matango, this one deals with an alien invasion and giant robots!

Tuesday June 14 (because we're going to see Batman Begins on Monday) -- Kickass Dudes

7pm:Zatoichi [1962] -- The original blind, masseur / swordsman.

9pm: Hanzo the Razor [1972] -- From the same director as the Lone Wolf and Cub series and featuring Zatoichi himself, Shintarô Katsu, Hanzo is a sort of Samurai detective who rights wrongs and punishes bad guys. Oh, and he also "interrogates" women by raping them with his giant cock that he "strengthens" by pounding with hammer (but don't worry, the girls all end up loving it). Thoroughly unPC, but thoroughly entertaining.

Monday June 20 -- J-Horror

7pm: Infection [2004] -- Above average J-horror about a spooky hospital and a melting disease.

9pm: Ju-On 2 [2003] -- Not to be confused with the American remake, this is the sequel to the original Japanese thriller with that little boy that's painted blue. Except that it's actually a prequel...

Monday June 27 -- Early 90's Action Sequels

7pm: Predator 2 [1990] -- Blame BJ.

9pm: Robocop 2 [1990] -- Blame BJ.
