Saturday April 16
Part I
3pm - 6pm: Horse Races. Meeting at front gate at 3:15pm, try to be there by 3pm. (infinite or little cost)
Part II
7pm-9pm Dinner. Shabusen downtown. Reservations for 14 under Summers. Of note: 12 people have RSVP'd. Contact me if you are interested in the last two seats.
Part III
10-11pm Uranus on Broadway near Kingsway. Boobs, karaoke, and we may get our own private room to do karaoke. Waiting to hear back from them.

April 17
Part V
2:30-10am Clubhouse slumber party. Movies, popcorn, post-party drinks, vomit buckets for those in need. BYOB. You can drop the alcohol off during the day before 2pm, when I anticipate to leave for the races.

BJ & Mariko's Seven Deadly Sins Stag(etta!)
As requested by the wedded to be, I will be organizing and hosting the celebrations. The following is the schedule, and due to financial restrictions of some of us, if you are unable to afford a portion of the night, you are free to join up at a later time or depart early, RSVPs will be needed for each portion of the night. The invite is open provided that the attendants are counted for in advance (ideally before the 12th).
Saturday April 16
Part I
3pm - 6pm: Casino or Horse Races. TBA (infinite or little cost)
Part II
7pm-9pm Dinner. If it's over 20 (which is possible), we won't be able to attend Memphis Blues, but will probably just hit up All-You-Can-Eat sushi in Burnaby. It costs about the same as splitting the right number of Elvis platters. If we do the sushi thing, I'd like to get a party room. I was thinking Taisho, maybe some Karaoke in a private party room. It costs hourly to do so, so it would add to the bill. ($20-40 depending on Karaoke, drinks, etc.)
Part III
10-11pm The night. Sneak in some boobies downtown. Two pieces minimum of ID. Anyone without the ID will be subject to being left outside until we move on to drinking. The Cecil is requested, the Cecil it is. $5 cover?
Part IV
11:30-2am Celebrities. I figure a balance of boobies to cocks is a good idea. $10 cover?
April 17
Part V
2:30-10am Clubhouse slumber party. Movies, popcorn, post-party drinks, vomit buckets for those in need. ($0)
Part VI
12noon: Chinee Foo. About $7 a person is a safe number. Bring $10 just in case.
Please, please, please: I will *need* RSVPs for the following sections: II, III, IV, V and VI. If you plan to attend the whole time, just say "all". If you'll be around only after dinner, state III, IV, V and VI. Simple?

R.I.P. BASS WOLF 3/30/05
"Narnack Records has reported in with this sad news:
It's with deep and saddest regret to announce this latest Guitar Wolf news. Last night (3/30) Billy, aka Bass Wolf, passed away of natural causes. He was 38.
The band had just returned from their month-long US tour, and fortunately Billy did get to spend time with his wife and children before checking into the hospital. He died in his sleep sometime during the night.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and Guitar Wolf members Seiji and Toru.
The Japanese three piece, which formed in 1987, most recently released Loverock in 2004. Our deepest condolences go out to Billy's friends and family."

Calling All Suckers
Looking for some unfortunate soul to accompany me to see A Lot Like Love in Richmond tonight. My plan is to leave right from work and hang out at Aberdeen Mall for a bit before the movie. I will be departing from Granville & Broadway by 3:30pm, so we can meet up at Chapters if you are fool enough to join me. Please reply to this post, first come, first serve.

Pranky Pranking Pranksters
Prangstgrup. The Lecture Musical is high-larious. They're all pretty damn funny, actually.
In other news, I'm going to see Sin City at the Van East tonight, because it's cheap Tuesday and I'm, well, cheap. I know everybody's already seen it, but anybody want to see it AGAIN?

spidey speculation
thomas haden church, fresh of his oscar nomination for sideways, has been tapped for the next spider-man movie, playing an as yet unidentified villian.
I figure we're a geekly crowd, so we should get some speculation going.
my first thought was sandman, but that didn't seem like a very exciting villian. considered mysterio as well. realistically, I have to go with scorpion.
but fuck it, I'm gonna stick with sandman. I'm curious to see what effects raimi would use to pull it off...
